Chef Thad is dishing up bold flavors with Texas twang in backYARD Bar’s signature 1960s Airstream Overlander right in the heart of downtown Austin. Our Texas style cuisine is locally sourced with fresh-from-the-garden flavor and unique twists on traditional classics sure to sate even the heartiest of appetites.
Start with chili con queso mixed with braised green chili pork, or nosh on a local charcuterie platter before digging in to a beer-braised short rib with local brown ale, Anaheim chiles and cauliflower puree, or a signature Yard Burger, topped with chef’s own bacon jam, white cheddar, and lettuce, tomato and onion on a brioche bun.
Hand crafted cocktails like the backYARD Bloody Mary or the Boozy Strawberry Lemonade (made with Austin-based Tito’s vodka) are house signatures, while locals love our craft beer, too.
BackYARD bar is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as signature live music Sunday Brunch.
